MICHAEL J. KINNEY, SR.1934 - 2011
Our firm is deeply saddened by the loss of our dear friend, Michael J. Kinney, Sr. Mike passed away suddenly on April 14, 2011.
Mike was introduced to Hoey & Farina when he retained our firm to represent him in a FELA claim after he was injured while working as a brakeman for the Union Pacific railroad in 1996. In 1999, Mike brought his unique injured railroader’s perspective and years of railroading experience to our firm when he became a Hoey & Farina Investigator.
Mike will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mike's long time companion, Joan, and other family members.
A wake was held for Mike on Monday, April 25, 2011, at the Belvidere Funeral Home, 203 Logan Avenue, Belvidere, IL 61008-3724, with a private burial service on Tuesday, April 26th.
